USTA New England - Executive Director
 
USTA New England, one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage a high-performing regional organization and execute its strategic plan and mission to promote and develop the growth of tennis in New England. 
 
Headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, USTA New England is a non-profit organization with a $3M budget and staff of 18, including field staff serving communities throughout New England. The Executive Director will be responsible for managing all services, products, policies, staff, budget, and programs of USTA New England under the direction of the President and the Board of Directors.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Board Relationship & Governance: Work closely with the President and Board of Directors to ensure that the governing body is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the section and on all important factors influencing the tennis industry in New England.
 
·         Staff Management: Be responsible for all aspects of managing the staff; providing training, supervision, support, and leadership; and leading staff in achieving annual goals and objectives.
 
·         Strategic Planning: Work in conjunction with the section and USTA in developing and implementing the strategic plan, and evaluating short & long range goals and objectives.
 
·         Fiscal Responsibilities: Manage and direct the daily business operations of USTA New England and supervise the financial procedures of the section.
 
·         Policies and Procedures: Implement and adhere to all policies and procedures as approved by the President and Board of Directors. Provide ongoing management and maintenance of and for all business records of the section.
 
·         Relationship with the USTA National Office: Maintain USTA New England’s compliance with its obligations as one of 17 sections of the USTA.  
 
·         Internal and External Partnerships: Act as the primary staff liaison to key internal stakeholders, including the Section President, Board of Directors, and seven State Associations. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with critical external stakeholders.
 
·         Communications and Outreach: Supervise the input and production of all USTA New England publications; serve as the spokesperson for the section in collaboration with the President.
 
·         Representation & Attendance at Key Meetings: Travel required to 1) USTA Annual, Semiannual, Executive Directors meetings; 2) USTA New England Board of Directors and Officers; and 3) key stakeholders in New England, including the seven State Associations and partner organizations.
 
Qualifications include:
·     Proven track record and ability to lead and manage a successful organization
·     Exceptional management & problem solving skills, and ability to develop and manage a budget
·     Strong commitment to cultivating and maintaining new & existing partnerships
·     Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans
·     Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
·     Commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the workplace
·     High personal standards that align with the organization’s core values: integrity, excellence, teamwork, accountability, inclusivity, and service
·     Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
·     Tennis-related background & experience with a non-profit organization
·     College degree or equivalent professional experience
