Volunteer Opportunities

VOLUNTEER WITH USTA NE'S JR. TEAM TENNIS PROGRAM

There exists several opportunities to volunteer within USTA New England's Jr. Team Tennis program. Jr. Team Tennis is a fast-growing USTA program that features a team, co-ed concept for young players. Through Jr. Team Tennis, teams compete for championships at the local, sectional and national levels. USTA Jr. Team Tennis offers opportunitunities for beginning players all the way to accomplished high-school players. For a complete listing of volunteer positions, including league organizers and coaching opportunities, click here .

USTA New England is looking for volunteers to help with its mission of promoting and developing the growth of tennis in New England. Come join our team of over 500 volunteers across New England!

VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTIONS

  • Booth volunteers at each site meet and greet the public, providing information about USTA New England's grassroots programs, including USTA Jr. Team Tennis , USTA League Tennis , USTA Tournament Tennis and USTA Wheelchair Tennis . Booth volunteers also help sell and renew USTA memberships . At professional tennis events, volunteers direct visitors to our Member Appreciation Day hospitality area.

Each volunteer at our professional tennis events receives a USTA New England t-shirt, daily grounds pass to the site, the opportunity to watch tennis during breaks and/or after a completed shift, parking passes or reimbursement and lunch or coupons toward the purchase of food.

  • Event Volunteers can help organize and deliver our Competitive Tennis and Community Tennis programs. For example, a volunteer can be a spokesperson at a booth or festival; collect or donate balls and racquets; select prizes for special events; assist with project budget management; teach a community how to offer programs; help local programs attract local sponsors; create promotional posters; photograph events, tournaments or festivals; showcase your writing talent on the Web site or in USTA Magazine. Whatever the interest, we have a volunteer role to match it!
