USTA offers a variety of workshops to train teachers, coaches, volunteers, parents, and after school providers. Check out the workshops below to learn about what workshops are available and which one is right for you.

Military_training_for_FB

   

Recreational 10 and Under Tennis Workshop (10UW)

Attend this workshop if you primarily work with children ages 10 and under.

Topics Covered:
* Extensive coverage of the 10 and Under Tennis play format including age appropriate play situations and games for 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds & 9-10 year olds
* Recreational 10 and Under Tennis Practice Plans
* Organizing/coaching a junior team match
* 3.5 hours

* Participant manual
* 10 and Under Tennis practice plans

Team Coaching Workshop (TCW)

This workshop is new for 2013 and is primarily for Jr. Team Tennis coaches and middle school and high school coaches.

Topics Covered:
* Team organization
* Skill Development
* Activities and games
* 3.5 hours

Recreational Coaches Workshop (RCW)

Attend this workshop if you primarily work with players of all ages and abilities.

Topics Covered:
* Overview of the 10 and Under Tennis play format
* Top 10 Games Every Coach Should Know
* Running Effective Team Practices
* Large Group Management
* Instant Rally Progression for teaching strokes

* 6.5 hours including 30 minutes for lunch

Materials you will receive:
* Participant manual
* Learn to Rally and Play book
* Certificate of Attendance - RCW participants are eligible for a PTR Recreational

We also offer After School Trainings, available to any school or organization that runs an after-school program, and College Workshops, available to any college or university professor whose students are interesting in pursuing a career in physical education.
