Multicultural Participation

Multicultural Participation and USTA New England
USTA New England is committed to increasing multicultural participation in tennis throughout New England and within its organizational structure.

Financial support, for example, is available from USTA New England in the form of grants to individual juniors and community based programs that predominately serve ethnically diverse populations. In addition, a Multicultural Participation Committee guides the section in its involvement with such programs. USTA New England is also committed to providing diversity awareness training for all staff and board members and it is committed to a broad range of ethnically diverse representation in program participation and volunteer positions.

In fact, USTA New England has incorporated Multicultural Participation into every aspect of its Strategic Plan, including its Vision Statement, Core Values, Goals, Strategic Priorities, Situation Analysis and Objectives, and the section has adopted the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) Diversity Statement.

If you should have any questions about the USTA Multicultural Initiative and how it relates to USA Tennis New England, contact Jeff Waters, USTA New England Executive Director.
