A Community Tennis Association (CTA) is an umbrella organization that oversees tennis programs in a community. The CTA may run tournaments and offer clinics at various facilities. The CTA is a lobbying force for the community and often provides leadership, a consolidation of resources, continuity with public recreation programs and fund development.

As an organization member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Slammer Tennis World offers a wide variety of affordable junior tennis programs throughout Fairfield County Connecticut. Operating primarily in Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich and New Canaan, Connecticut, Slammer Tennis World offers affordable indoor and outdoor junior programs as well as private, semi-private and group lessons for juniors and adults. Slammer Tennis World also offers summer tennis camps and tennis parties for kids too. In Summer 2006, James Blake, the #1 U.S. Tennis player at that time visited the Slammer Tennis World camp and gave each kid a t-shirt and tickets to the Pilot Pen Kid’s day event in New Haven, CT. In May 2004, Slammer Tennis World was also the very first tennis company to offer a junior tennis program at the Stamford YMCA in Stamford, Connecticut; the Stamford YMCA gym was used for the tennis program. Slammer Tennis World has been transforming school gyms and YMCA gyms into tennis courts since 2004 using portable nets, foam balls and transitional balls.
