USTA MULTICULTURAL EXCELLENCE GRANTS FOR 2009
USTA has announced that the application process for Multicultural Excellence grants has commenced. Grants available for 2009 include: USTA Program Excellence Grants, USTA Player Excellence Grants, USTA Okechi Womeodu Scholar Athlete Grant and the USTA Althea Gibson Leadership Award.

In honor of Pancho Gonzalez, the Mexican-American icon who won two U.S. Championships men's singles titles and whose dedication to the sport of tennis brought together fans from all walks of life, we look to reward a player(s) who works to excel in leading others on and off the court. The recipient(s) must be training and competing in tournaments year-round. National Contact: USTA Office of Diversity
