NEWPORT, RI – A pair of former New England junior stars renewed acquaintances on the historic grass courts at the International Tennis Hall of Fame recently.
The team of Eric Fleming and Adam Gart took home the doubles championship in the USTA National Men’s Open Grass Court Championships.

Fleming is a former Marquette University stalwart and resident of Roslindale, MA, while Gart, a resident of Bedford, MA, played his college tennis at the University of Rhode Island and Scared Heart University.
Both men are currently playing in ITF Futures matches in Europe. Fleming posted two wins in a London Futures event over the summer.
The duo got past Floridians Spencer Lunghino and Jeff Zenisek, 7-6, 5-7, 6-2, in a tough semifinal, before defeating Andrew Peters and Andrew Thomson, 7-6, 5-7, 6-2 in the championship match.
